Cleveland Sketch Group Tub Shark Premieres New Show

Cleveland, Ohio – August 15th 2011 – Cleveland sketch comedy group TubShark has announced its inaugural show, live at Cleveland Heights’ Big Dog Theater, September 9th-10th, 2011 at 9:00 PM. The show will feature mixed media blending sketch, audience interaction, stand-up, video, and music. Tickets are $16.00 or 2 for 1, via Groupon, and pre-sale through Big Dog Theater.

Initiated in April of 2011 by nationally touring stand-up comedian Jesse Alison, TubShark brings together the most talented underground comedians in northeast Ohio. Incorporating a wide range of influences, TubShark combines comedy in the vein of Kids in the Hall, Mr. Show, Second City, Hee-Haw, and The Muppet Show, while offering a modern twist–incorporating digital media. They perform original work, highlighting the varied skill of this comedy powerhouse into an intensely funny live experience. Currently comprised of Jesse Alison, James Catullo, Tim Cornett, Marissa DeSantis, Jessica Fleming, Liz Huff, and Nick Staron, TubShark melds their array of talents into sketch-theater never before witnessed.

Their combined credits include HBO, The Onion, Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin, Second City, Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre’s Del Close Marathon NYC, Hilarities, The Improv, The World Famous Comedy Store, as well as clubs, colleges, and festivals around the country.
